Rooted in China’s Early Industrial Sensor Development
Company History & Manufacturing Heritage
YPROX’s manufacturing heritage can be traced back to the former Tunxi Control Electric Appliance Factory in Huangshan, Anhui, China, which was actively involved in the early development, standardization and commercialization of inductive proximity sensors in China.
In 1985, its independently developed LJ Series integrated inductive proximity switches passed a provincial technical appraisal in Anhui and entered standardized mass production.
Building on more than 40 years of sensor manufacturing experience, this industrial heritage continues today through Huangshan Yuanpeng Electronics and the YPROX brand, serving modern industrial automation markets worldwide.
In the 1980s
Early Development of Inductive Proximity Sensors in China
During the early 1980s, Tunxi Control Electric Appliance Factory began developing non-contact sensing technologies for China’s growing industrial automation market.
The engineering team focused on improving the reliability, environmental resistance and industrial applicability of inductive proximity switches, laying the technical foundation for the later LJ Series integrated inductive proximity sensors.
1985
LJ Series Standardization & Mass Production
In 1985, the LJ Series inductive proximity sensors passed a provincial technical appraisal in Anhui and entered standardized mass production.

1999
Enterprise Reform and Market-Oriented Development
In 1999, following enterprise restructuring, Huangshan Yuanpeng Electrical Appliance & Tools Co., Ltd. was established.
Building on more than a decade of proximity sensor manufacturing experience, the company entered a new stage of independent and market-oriented development, continuing to improve sensor technology, manufacturing processes and industrial application capabilities.
2006
New Manufacturing Base & Specialized Sensor Manufacturing
In 2006, the company was reorganized and renamed Huangshan Yuanpeng Electronics Co., Ltd., and relocated to its manufacturing base in Huangshan.
With expanded production facilities and upgraded manufacturing capabilities, the company further strengthened its specialization in industrial sensors, including:

- Reliability and aging testing
- Production and quality management
This marked a new stage in the company’s development as a specialized industrial sensor manufacturer.
2022
National High-Tech Enterprise
In 2019, Huangshan Yuanpeng Electronics Co., Ltd. was recognized as a National High-Tech Enterprise, reflecting continued investment in sensor technology, product development, engineering capability and manufacturing improvement.
2025
Technology Development & Global Brand Expansion
In 2025, Huangshan Yuanpeng Electronics continued strengthening its technology and innovation capabilities and was recognized as a Technology-based SME.
During the same period, Hangzhou Yuanpeng Sensing Technology Co., Ltd. was established to support the international development of the YPROX brand, serving as its global sales and R&D support center.
Together with the Huangshan manufacturing base, YPROX combines 40+ years of sensor manufacturing heritage with modern engineering, customization and international customer support.
